Mind-body interventions are practices based on the understanding that mind, body, and spirit are connected with one another and have environmental influences.
Mind-body medicine aims to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Other guiding principles of mind-body medicine are as follows:
- Stress and depression contribute to the development of, and hinder recovery from, chronic diseases because they create measurable hormonal imbalances.
- The science of Psycho neuro immunology (PNI) explains how mental functioning provokes physical and biochemical changes that weaken immunity, lowering resistance to disease.
- Overall health improves when people are optimistic and have positive outlooks on life.
- Health and wellness are harmed by anger, depression, and chronic stress.
The "Phil Parker Lightning Process" is a very good training program which will teach you how to apply the above mentioned principles in 3 days.
I use an integrated, compassionate and skilful utilisation of approaches and recognise that hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching only realise their full magical potential when combined together.
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to aid personal development, problem resolution and self healing. This sophisticated approach teaches the client how to unlock the power of their unconscious mind and discover that they already have all the skills they need to move their life forwards.
NLP (Neuro linguistic programming) is an offshoot of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy which was developed by Dr.'s Bandler and Grinder. It is concerned with utilising our understanding of how the Neurological system functions and skilfully using Language to change the patterns or programs that control our behaviours. The elements of NLP are:
Neuro - The way we use our minds and physiology
Linguistic - The way we use language in both our external and internal dialog to make sense of our experiences
Programming - How we file our experiences and create our patterns of response.
Life coaching is an approach to helping others to get the most out of themselves and to achieve what they are truly capable of. A key part of its philosophy is that the coach's role is less one of giving advice and much more one of helping the client to discover the questions they need to ask themselves to uncover the resources and solutions inside themselves.Due to the nature of standard life coaching training, life coaches recognise that although they can deal with many issues, there are times when they uncover deeper issues which need referral to other professionals.

Initial sessions - allow one and a half hours, follow up sessions are normally one hour in duration
How many sessions will I need ?
For most issues including hypnotherapy to give up smoking, no more than two or three sessions are usually required.
